The photo was taken during sea trials by PHC(AW) Thom Hensley, October 3, 1995. What makes this photo remarkable is that this
was the first carrier to have a deck certified for helo operations during sea trials. Therefore, the helo was able to take a photographer
up during the high speed rudder checks which are part of sea trials.
